Great twisty road from the gold dredge & gas pumps at Sumpter up the plateau (watch the slippery tar strips and occasional pothole) thru the paved-over trails & hunting routes to the dry dead farmlands approaching the dusty dying town of Ukiah, with 1 pump dispensing regular gas and a small convenience store. And a major Forest Ranger center. Little traffic except hunters and road construction types. No cops. A few deer. Pretty grippy pavement but has occasional real slippery spots. Can do some major speeds and knee-dragging. Long way from hospitals.
