Two of the most scenic and highest passes in North America.
Popular run with local riders often combined with the 357 and the 224 to create a return loops. Heading East the route offers great coastal scenery, good pavement, decent speed limits and interesting places to stop. A hidden gem of a restaurant Il Porto would be my recommendation for lunch but Henleys Pub is also popular in Sheet Harbour.
Brampton-Tobermory-Sudbury- Owen Sound- Brampton
Back roads from Matsqui to Fort Langley.
Route sinueuse, lacs et paysages montagneux, peu de corculation
Route sinueuse avec une merveilleuse vue sur la rivière saint-maurice
nice 25 min ride for a rocket or mellow!
Not too far from Fredericton.
Beautiful route, its all curves and hills. In fall it's amazing.
As of summer 2018, the pavement is good, theres a fair amount of bumps though, not sure how heavy cruiser would behave.
Be aware, this is about 80km no fuel or village along the road and be alert for animals on the road.
If you know this road an know viewpoint along or accessible from one of the many crossing logging road please share.
I believe one of the best route around Fredericton.
Beautiful view of the St-john river all along and the route serpentine with the river. There alot of place to stop/view along as the route goes through many villages.
If you're riding through NB, the 105 route is parallel to the transcanadian highway but it will be slower.
Had a terrific 8 day road trip with the wife in the throne of my 2015 Honda Goldwing. Calgary > Kamloops > Mt Vernon > Astoria > Portland x 2 > Yakima > Whitefish > Calgary. Used the Port Townsend Ferry. Spectacular views, roads generally excellent except the National Forrest 25 and 99 (Mount St Helens area) which had rough sections (35-50 km/hr at times) but I'd do that again. Willamette Valley wine region was nice. A couple nights in Portand to rest and enjoy was a good idea. Shout out to Spin Laundry Lounge in Portland for friendly unique experience. Mount St Helens well worth the time. Mount Rainier cloudy so check weather before going to visitor centre. Longest day 750 km; shortest day 300 km. Fire prevented Going to the Sun highway on last day so went through Eureka and AB 22 to get home. Happy to answer questions. JPS
A beautiful mountain road to give you the fill of corners and curves. You will be tired before the road ends.
The road drives along Fraser River from Lytton to Hope. Mighty river, High Mountains, Curving road with moderate traffic; what else can you wish for?
There are many places to stop and take pictures or just drink in the scene. Soul Food.
Close to the city this route has some spectacular views of the beach and some good curves with decent pavement for most of the run. Check out kite surfers and surfing rentals if you feel the need for a hypothermic fix
A nice mix of urban roads including a jaunt through historic Gastown. Great views of Burrard Inlet and Howe Sound along the way.
the first part of this ride up the saint john river has new pave starting in public landing, and the later parts are low trafic roads. gravel hazards are problems in some places. little to no cops, i havent seen any anyway. With the twists and scenery, you wont want to miss any of it.
Lazy Sunday Riding
It was an amazing trip with a little bit of everything from straight to twisting roads through bright yellow fields, red woods and mountains with tons of amazing stops along the way, wild life to view and great little dinners. Once across the ferry to the island there is a whole new scene to enjoy, ocean side rides, amazing towns with goats on a roof and beautiful twisting roads with amazing cliff side views. All though there are good curving roads there are also a few spots closer to the cities that are straighter and don't provide the best views but are more than worth it for all the rest of the amazing scenery.
